Smiley Mee Goreng

It's been a while since I last blog. Was busy with work and I fell sick as well. So I didn't have the time and mood to blog.

Anyway, weekend was tremendously short for me as I did not manage to spend a lot of time with Doink. Was lazy to cook or bake as well as I was soooo tired during the weekends. Since I was so lazy, I only managed to make Doink his favourite simple Mee Goreng during the weekend. haha....

Yellow nosy

Decorated the Mee Goreng with egg yolk, sausages and cucumbers. Just wanted to make the noodles look more interesting. I will blog more about the dinner I prepared for Doink last week as I'm still waiting for the pictures from him. Anyway, hope everyone will stay happy always!!!

Smile always everyone!

English Muffins Brekkie

I have been having some crazy cravings on English Muffins especially the McDonalds McEgg Muffin sandwich. Oooh, yummy. With this madness craving, I made these lovely English Muffins for myself to savour. Haha!!!

English Muffins

It's quite simple to make but I didn't enjoy making it as I find it a bit sticky when I was trying to place the dough on to the pan to cook it. Anyway, this is something I won't make often unless my taste buds has gone nuts.

These muffins are best eaten warm with thick butter spread over it. Mmmmm, gorgeous & sinfully delicious. But then I'm someone who always love making something weird. So instead of spreading butter over it, I spread each muffins with different things: homemade salsa sauce, cream cheese with garlic butter and mozzarella with garlic butter. Hehe.... Oh, not forgetting to toast it in the oven before serving.

Muffin bread with different spreading

With such experience, I have to say that it tasted awesomely gorgeous especially the English Muffin with salsa sauce. The taste match really well with the muffin. Anyway, these muffins were topped with ham, sausages, poach eggs and cherry tomatoes.

Decorated version of muffin sandwich

Just a simple way of making a yummylicious breakfast for Doink on a weekend. You can make the English Muffins in advance and place it in the freezer. It can be kept for up to 3 months. Just toast it in the oven and it will taste as good as it just came out from the oven.

Lovely cherry tomato heart (Love Ya Doink!)

Yummy eggy & ham

Shorty muffin ice cream

Weekend wasn't that great as I had to go outstation for some work thingy to do. So I didn't get to spend some quality time with Doink. Oh well, must treasure those coming weekends with him.

Anyway, last week made some beautiful muffins and there were still a few left. And there were also a few lovely tubs of ice cream in my freezer. So I made these yummylicious Muffin Ice Cream.

I used those muffins and cut them into small size so that it fit into the base of my shot glasses. Than I scoop some vanila ice cream and lay on top of those muffins. Added some strawberry syrup over it and topped it with a beautiful red cherry.

I made another one and instead of putting vanila ice cream I decided to put the Nestle Tropicana Ice Cream (lime and vanila). Ooooh, it's so refreshing. Love it. Simple and yet a lovely desert to have.

Shangri La Lemon Garden Buffet

It's Easter and yet I didn't really realise it. I love Easter when I was in UK as there are plenty of Chocolate Easter eggs. I will sort of buy plenty of these yummylicious chocolate easter eggs and gain plenty of weight after that. *grin* But anyway, these Easter eggs are pretty cheap in UK and it's available everywhere. However, for any Malaysians who are interested to try some Chcolate Easter Eggs, they can purchase some in Cold Storage.

Anyway, since I don't get to eat Chocolate Eggs, Doink decided to bring me for buffet at Lemon Garden, Shangri La just to cheer me up again. hehe... It's been a while since I last went for this buffet and I could still remember that it was the best buffet I ever had. However, I was sort of disappointed with this round of buffet as both Doink and I found that there were lesser variety of western selection of food. I guess I was expecting too much from Shangri La. hehe... But anyway, just wanna share some gorgeous food being served there. Enjoy!

Salad corner

Look at those taandori chicken. Tasted quite ok but of course it cannot be compared with mamak taandori chicken.

Doink's first plate

Starters... The prawns were gorgeous... Didn't manage to take much as there isn't any left when I went for 2nd round. *sob sob*

Indian food

Oooh, my favourite... Prawns!!!

Chicken Dinner

Came back from work on Friday and was so excited as I'm going to cook 3 different types of chicken for Doink for dinner. hehe...
.
I had marinated those chicken the night before so the chicken will taste better. Firstly I prepared the first dish called Chicken with Garlic and Honey Chicken. At the bottom is the mashed potato. I added some mozarella cheese on the cheese so that it tasted more cheesier. I just love cheese. hehe...
.
Garlic & Honey Chicken
.
Next dish is Chicken stuffed with sausage, cheese and ham. I grilled it instead of frying it for a healthier version. haha.... Ooh, it's yummy. This is served together with mashed potatoes as well.

.
Lastly, I cooked Chicken Kiev. Wrapped the chicken with the flavoured butter I had prepared the night before. Stuffed it in the chicken and grilled it. The taste is nice but I did not add enough of the butter stuffing into my chicken kiev. So it wasn't satisfying enough. But the taste is still good. I guess I'm too health conscious. I must stop doing that. hehe... Next round I'm going to add more flavoured butter in it.

Anyway, the Chicken Kiev is served with flavoured rice. I cooked the rice with garlic, butter and raisins. Season with soy sauce and pepper to taste. Oooh, it's lovely.
Insuffiecient amount of butter stuffed inside the chicken

The night was wonderful. After a wonderful meal, it's time to watch my Prison Break season 2 series. haha... Apparently I no longer like Wenworth Miller in season 2. I think he gained weight. No longer have the pretty boy look. hehe...

French Hard Roll

Hard rolls are simple to make but it has to be consumed not more than 2 days. After 2 days you can start using the rolls to wack someone. haha... Actually I'm not a fan of hard rolls but then I needed it to make something else instead. Anyway, these hard rolls can be served with soup or jam and butter for your lovely breakfast.

Hard Rolls

Well, I dont' know what to call this little creature. So I'm going to just call it my eggy cheese bready. hehe... I cut open the bottom layer of the bread and dig a hole inside the bread. Than I put some ham, sprinkile with salt and pepper, an egg and sprinkle it with mozarella cheese. Just put it in the oven for about 15 minutes and it's ready to eat. Ooh, the gooey cheese and eggy is yummylicious!!!

Pancakes

Pancakes are simple and easy to make. Most people enjoy having pancakes for breakfast but Doink and I aren't a fan of pancakes. Anyway, both of us had some sort of weird cravings towards it ever since we saw that McDonalds were selling the Hotcakes. So I decided to make these little pancakes in the morning for his breakfast.

Pancakes with ice cream and honey

My pancakes turned out pretty ok. I served it with honey, ice cream and jam. After having those pancakes, I still came to a conclusion that I'm not a fan of pancakes. So I guess I won't be making it for quite some time again unless my weird cravings come back again.. hehe...

Perfectly cooked egg!
